FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

In a letter from Boot Camp my son requested some Navy under armour shorts and t-shirts....i found armed forces gear but can anyone guide me to a sight where i could order something in that brand.  Thanks!

GIFTS AT PIR??

I thought i read somewhere that as much as you want to give your Sailor a gift they cannot take back with them, can anyone who has "been there, done that", confirm that and at what point can they take a gift that you bought for them...any input would be great!  THANKS!

Just received my first letter yesterday was sooooooooo exciting.  No words from him but I could tell they made him feel out the info and first page with my name on it, he drew a heart by my name which made me tear up and so happy as he was telling me he loved me!!!!  Thats going to last me for a few days at least.  I've bought 6 of his closest friend, writing paper, envelopes and stamps so they can start bombarding him with letters.  Would love to hear from anyone and of course those who…

Thanks for the Friend request.  I keep a Discussion and spread sheet up-to-date with the ratings and the locations of A Schools (See Ratings, A School Locations, and Links to Groups).  Kellyd mentioned on her page that her future Sailor is going to be on a sub and I know that sub school is in Groton, so I was able to steer her there.  You can check the discussion and find the groups or let me know the rating and I can let you know.  If there is anything else I can help with, let me know.  Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Add Mary Martin, Jackie Lake and Brenda Bouroque as friends.  We've been friends since the inception of this web site.  I can also suggest them on FB.  The front page is going to give you the most info.   In groups, check out the boot camp and graduation ones.  You won't know which group to add right away for his job unless you already know what he's going to be.  We didn't know Patrick was going to be an FC until PIR.
