Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

He is flying into Philly. thats the flight we took home from graduation. Milwaukee seemed closer than chicago o'hare and alot less complicated. so how is your son doing? its nice to talk to him more often

My son was originally suppose to PIR on 9-2-10, but he did not as you all know, he eventually joined a new division and had his PIR on 10-8-10. My son spent just over a month on medical hold, doing physical therapy and whatever it took to get cleared to go back to full active duty. Your son CAN recover also. My son was moved to ship 6. I'm not sure if it is still called ship 6 or not? There is a group for recruits on medical hold. You will get lots of support there. I wrote to my son practically every day, sometimes twice a day. I had family and friends write to him too. Your son will need all the encouragement he can get now more than ever. He is so close to achieving his goals, keep reminding him of this. He may feel like giving up at times, but just keep encouraging him. He will be soooo glad he stuck with it in the end. If you want to friend request me or ever want to talk, I understand what you and he will be going through.

Comment by sjtina on October 24, 2010 at 11:01pm: FYI..if anyone has a sailor coming home for the holidays. frontier air in milwaukee has the best prices and they ony charge $10 for insurance (we all know how important that is) so now I have to figure out how to mail his tv. judy dont go. we are still here for you
