NCRMOORE:  You will love the Residence Inn - we stayed there for our son's PIR last October.  They have a great breakfast and if they haven't changed their policy, on Monday-Thursday nights that had what they called a "reception" but it was really dinner - complete with beer and wine.  They also have a soda fountain (like McDonalds) that is open all day and a great variety of newspapers (all complimentary).  Cloae to the base and to Walmart and other shopping.  Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Woohoo!! The guys must have done good this weekend with all their inspections and drills!  Recieved a call late this afternoon and all is well!  So good to hear from my SR!

For those that are married to their SR, when did you receive the application to go get your military ID?  I still haven't received it yet.

no he is not a grad and go, he will be going to Groton, CT for Sub school and A school.

I thought I saw my SR in one of the pictures on Facebook, but I'm not sure if it's him or not.

Judyb- I don't see my SR in either of the photos, but that doesn't mean it's not his division.

@ subwife  Is your SR a grad and go?

Hi Everyone,

On the FB page please go check out the picture posted today.  We think it is our SR.  Both of my daughters, who saw the picture separately, think it is as well.  It is so hard, because they all look so similar from the back. :)   But, the way he is sitting, and his hand, look like my son.  Please check it out, and see if you can see your SR.  I pray someone in this group thinks that their SR is in the picture.  :)

here's the link to the picture to make it easier

SubWife:  I have read this in the groups before-- that the SRs are told this.  I don't know why they are told this because I have not heard of it actually happening.  RTC claims that no sailors are shipped out on Fridays anymore.  So they should have regular liberty on PIR day!
