Hi. I just got a call from my son.  He's been in Norfolk with the Enterprise since November, but said he's got soft orders that he'll report to the Wasp in August.

Does anybody know if I buy a NEX gift card for my son if it will be something I can reload?  I want to get him one to use while he's in Italy for the next 3 years, but I don't know if I will be able to reload it from here?

Or do any of you have a suggestion for a card I can get him that I can reload from here while he's in Italy?

My son arrived Saturday on the Wasp.  Looks like he has a lot of good people on the ship with him!

Earl's wife and gonavymom - my son is on the same duty section as yours.  He has duty all day today - bummer!  I saw a FB post from his wife earlier today that she was heading to the ship to eat T-giving meal with him.  We flew him up here to Ky the day after the ship got in from NY.  His wife and their 17 month old daughter (our only grandchild) drove up here the day the ship left out to get away from the hurricane.  They got to be here til yesterday when they drove back down to Norfolk so he could report for duty today.  We had our Thanksgiving meals last weekend so my son, his wife and our granddaughter could be with us.  Today has been a lonely day, but at least we have the great memories of times spent together last week.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Tackijacky I believe my husband said there were goin to serve some kind of special dinner today. But when he calls later I will ask him.

Gonavymom I was trying to ask hubby about her but I could not remember her name. If you talk to her ask her if she know Earl that is his last name and there's only two Earl's on the ship and even though he is a CT he is working security now. I also feel like we all know each other, I guess cause we are al part of the same family, The NAVY Family :)

Gonavymom she is my husband's duty section, he have duty on Thursday too. He just got transferred to that section; what means no Thanksgiving for me. Well we will have it on Friday after I get out of work. He has offered to watch the turkey while I work, we will see how that will work.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you Ladies!
