Nice to see a post from the Alex.  I have to agree with mainemom that it's good to see the long, cold winter coming to an end.  Since leaving the boat last fall, my son Matt has been stationed in Jerusalem.  His position includes travel between Israel and D.C.  We hope to see him the end of June.  Happy Easter to all the Navy families!

Happy Spring!!!  It is almost Easter and up where I am our snow is mostly gone!  It has been a long cold winter!  I was excited to be in Kittery with our daughter in law and 2 grand daughters last week.  My son was in Saratoga for some training, so he wasn't there but 1 day.  It was good to be there.  I pray all your sailors and families are all well!  Happy Easter to you all.

Just wanted to congratulate all the grandparents on here that have new additions to their families!  There have been a few born since the beginning of the year, including our new granddaughter, and a few more are due over the next few months!  Congrats to our new family members!

Hi everyone!  Sounds like everyone is busy this season.  Great to hear of those able to go home, or be with family for Christmas.  I am thankful that all our boys are stateside.  Last year it was hard with the Alex away.  I was thankful they were in port and we were at least able to skype with our son and our DIL and granddaughter were able to go over to see him in Greece.  But it makes it so much nicer they are home.  We plan to travel down to Kittery the day after Christmas as our son is on duty the 25th. Also will probably be traveling down again in Jan, as their second daughter is due early in the month!  So excited.  That will make 4 grandchildren for us. Our other boys are not able to come home.  Our oldest is in MO and is full time guard crew chief on the B-2.  Our middle son is in SC and is in the AF reserves. Being a mom I wish we could all be together, but they have busy lives with their own families and I am happy to be able to see them via skype is almost as good!

May you all have a Merry Christmas and a Joyous holiday season!.

MERRY CHRISTMAS Navy Moms!

:)  We are spending a few days with our son and family a few days for Thanksgiving.  Not sure what we are going to do for Christmas as he has duty that day.  I am assuming we will be coming down at some point then!  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Holly, no need for apology!  I know what people mean, just once in a while I like to put it out that there are women serving. Some people still think it is a male service.  Our guys don't serve with women on their boat at this moment, and not anytime soon probably, though they are on boomers.  Maybe they need to come up with a new name that is inclusive!  :)

That is great Holly. Sounds like those young men must of been reservists.   Our oldest son is connected to the Air Force.  He is  full time guard with Missouri, but is also a reservist in the Air Force.  He is at Whiteman AFB not to far from Kansas.  He is a crew chief on the B-2 Stealth Bomber.  We love to be able to visit with service people and usually they are easy to spot.  I know I love it when our boys tell of people who have stopped to talk with them.  Yes, God Bless our Service Men and Women!  ( I am a veteran, so even though the Alex doesn't have women, we need to remember them also. )

Been quiet here.  How is everyone?  Hope all your sailors moving process is going smoothly.  Our son and his family are in the process now.
