N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

lol Catmom, we did spend time talking, and reading and my brother and his wife and 4 grandchildren were there in another cabin so we spent time with them as well. Friday evening after dinner we played HeadsUp, which was fun with all the kids. Not having internet would have been fine if it hadn't rained so much. Kind of hard to do a lot of fishing when it's pouring rain lol

Hello All!

For us wives/moms/SOs here is an amazing verse I love reading as a reminder that the Lord will take my husband and his division through Battlestations with flying colors, "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus" Philippians 1:6

I have good news about all the drama I went through: Yesterday I prayed before heading over to my in laws for Easter and asked the Lord to open a door so my mother in law and I could chat about what happened calmly.  Amazing how God works because she apologized for everything she said and also that she didn't even read when I asked her to go to lunch and talk with me.  She said she completely missed that part and that everything just got misinterpreted.  I told her just tell me if I get you mad, I can handle the heat trust me I am a strong woman of faith and let the Lord handle my battles.  I also told her that I loved her even though she hurt me because she is my mom :)

So just wanted to brag about how the Lord works for those who wait on Him :)

Good morning!

Please be sure to RSVP to Sarge's M&G of you are attending. He needs a good head count to make sure there is enough food for y'all.

pammy, An umbrella is not a standard issue. They can carry one while in uniform, except while in their digis. It must be plain black and the handle must collapse. It also has to be carried in their left hand, gotta be ready to salute at any time. :)

Comment by diannep on April 21, 2014 at 8:43am

pammy, not sure on the umbrella question.  Maybe ellen, Lala, or CatMom know if they were issued umbrellas.

Good Morning All !

Comment by pammy10268 on April 21, 2014 at 7:21am
So does that mean we need to buy our SR an umbrella or is that something they will already have?
