For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 195 and 196
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

That is awesome. I am excited about the Nuke School. I know it is going to be tough, but these young men will survive. I have been all over the internet looking for Navy Nuke apparel. Found only a handful of stuff. Not much out there for that. Where are y'all from?

He's in 195 with GrannyP's SR. I'm still learning everything - is 195 and 196 the "brother" division?

I'm new, too! But I they are brother divisions, which means they do training together....I think! lol

He got there on 4/14, last week on Monday, momafozzy! How about yours?

He left on the 14th as well. I guess, technically, it was the 13th because he had to stay in a hotel downtown the night before. But, we were able to go to MEPS the on the 14th and see him being sworn in - that was cool. Were you able to attend the swearing in?

Yes! I even recorded it, lol! We're local to MEPS and the hotel, so once he checked in on Sunday around 3pm, we were able to come back home and have a going away dinner with all his friends and family. It was really nice to have that extra time since he didn't have to be back at the hotel until around 8:30pm. Then the next morning we all went to MEPS for the swearing in. We were lucky that only 2 Navy SR's were shipping out that day so we had lots of space in the room! His best friend went to BC last December and the room was packed! (He and his friend both signed up at the same time, but wanted to go through BC and A school separately in order to try to get stationed at the same place.)
