Well this has been interesting... after going through all the crazy emotions of my sons departure which was supposed to have happened on July 9...I was fortunate enough to enjoy another 2 weeks with him... Somewhere there was a paperwork mistake and he wont leave until July 22 which is rolling up rather quickly.  I guess I'm more prepared having already put myself through the emotional grinder last week...but still I find myself a little teary and anxious....ANYONE else have a son leaving to GL on 7/22

My son also arrived in GL on the 22nd.  I am anxiously waiting for his address to send him a letter.

My son arrived 7/22 and his box arrived today.

Wow...that was quick...oh, I hope it shows up soon here too!

Of course he mailed it to our old address, I have to drive 35 miles one way tomorrow to go get it.

We received the box today. Complete with a hastily written "luv ya"

yes my son left 7/22 for Great Lakes. Been gone a week now waiting for personal items to arrive and form letter. Still crying and refuse to hold it in, of course my husband looks at me like I'm an emotional blubbering wife. He gets it though my son and I are very close so no contact makes it a little more challenging. Let me know how your doing?

My son left for the GL on 7-22.  We got his FedEx package on Friday, but we weren't home to get it.  Hopefully, it comes back today.

My son also left for the GL on the 22nd.  Haven't received the box yet.  Haven't gone into his room yet but I have finally caught up on all of his laundry. lol   Waiting for the form letter so that we can make plans to go to PIR is frustrating.

dozy, my son's box arrived about an hour ago. It was really surreal watching the FedEx truck drive up. My hubby unpacked the box and said 'well, that wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be...just a box of dirty clothes, shoes and a cell phone'...we of course knew this would be what was in the box but I guess we thought we might get a quick note in the magazine that was sent back as well. I guess the next step in this journey is waiting for the letter. I am SOOO ready to get our plans made for attending PIR! :)

my box to arrived an hour ago however I was in the shower so have to go to fedex and retrieve it after 5 today. Kind of dreading it however just maybe there will be a little note inside.

I just picked up my sons box...A cellphone , a piece of gum, dirty socks and shoes...and A SMALL HANDWRITTEN note hidden inside the phone case... just a few words.... He loves me and that he is so excited to go to bootcamp ....That I did such a good job raising him and now he gets to be a man.....My sweet boy ...I miss him even more now!

That is very sweet.
