~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Isan:  Just saw where you are in CA so I can see where there would need to be advanced planning!  Not sure what to tell you, but thinking it may be better to plan a trip to see her once she has phased up and can leave base.....when she is there long enough, she would even be allowed overnights but that takes a while.

Comment by diannep on September 19, 2014 at 6:09pm

Isan09:  They normally cannot leave the base until they have phased up, which takes a couple or 3 weeks.  Not sure if you would be allowed to visit her on base though.  She probably won't have that info until she actually arrives at A School base.  Is this something you can plan last minute?

Good Morning All !

NavySis,

Unfortunately, holiday weekends don't benefit Sailors flying out to their A schools.  They usually still fly out on Saturday.  Sailors staying at Great Lakes can get an extra day of liberty~~

The only time when Sailors flying out get to maybe fly out on Sunday is when there were not enough seats on a plane for a whole set of Sailors going to the same A school destination.  However, this won't be known until right when Battlestations has been completed~~

Here's the link to the Pensacola group you should join next:

Yorkiefan,

I have only found the one that is linked to the RTCgraduation site but I have been pending approval since Monday.... I see one or two people have been added this week but no one has even tried to message me regarding approving my request.
