For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Gretamae...I will suggest it next time to my son. He'd probably like the train adventure too.

Comment by Sierrascrapper (ETN2) on October 20, 2014 at 12:50pm: Wowsers...I had to take a little break from the internet for a week and a half to move into a smaller place and the group got all busy! LOL So great to see several new Moms in our group. WELCOME! Also exciting to see so many new horizons for many of our Nukes. Congratulations to those who are finishing up and heading to the fleet.

As I mentioned, we just moved into a smaller place. Now that our twins have finished high school and our Sailor being gone, it was time to downsize. We had lived in a nice home the last 6 years. Now we are in a small condo. Our other son is living with us while attending the local university. It's a tough adjustment, but we will adapt.

On a pleasant note, my Sailor told us about his plans to come home for Christmas. I'm a happy clam. He already bought his plane tickets all by himself. It worries me some, but I have to just let him be responsible for himself. I can't wait to HUG that boy again! He's been doing well in A-school and even though I don't hear from him much, he's been kind enough to share pictures of his adventures in Charleston on the weekends. We survived our first birthday apart a couple weeks ago. I sent him a big 'ol care package and he teased me by saying he didn't have to go to the Commissary for a month or two or a year. LOL It was the only way I could manage to handle this first birthday away...by feeding him. LOL
