For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi Ian's Mom!
Sent mine out this morning. Almost a week they've been gone. I miss him like crazy, but i know he'll do well. He had been in DEP since April, but preparing since last October. At first it seemed like Nov. 12 was so far away and then-boom!-there is was! He left out of Albany, NY

I know just what you mean. We had seven months to prepare. The time went by and BAM! He was gone.
I wrote this when it all really had sunk in...
You walked out the front door today. You won't be coming back to stay. Your room is a mess. I think I like it that way best. You are going places far and away to do great things for us here in the USA. My mind is reeling, my face is wet - my baby, my boy is going to serve with the best. You will make new friends. You will learn a new ways. Hang on to who you are, be strong in your faith. Your brother will miss you more than you know. I'm so proud of you my son. It is really hard to let you go. It took a group effort to raise such a man. God bless you, God hold you... I love you. S. Cline 11/11/14 when he left for MEPS.

My son is in the same ship and division. I received his box today. I will also be sending a letter tomorrow. I am happy to finally found someone whose son is with mine.

How did you find out the ship and division. I received the box today but didn't get the info for sending mail. He left November 12th as well

I have been in-touch with my son's recruiter. Look to see if there is a recruiter business card around the house. :) I bet the information will come soon. At this point I am taking the information with a grain of salt, but I sent him a letter in the mail anyway. Hoping that he is on that ship and in that div.

Hi Ian's Mom. My son is on Ship 11 and is in either Div 55 or 56. The letter came today. In the letter, they referred to a Facebook page. There is a small chance of seeing a picture of our sons there. I will probably be on that page all day and night!

Hi Jenngga,
On Thanksgiving I went to the Facebook page and think I found him marching in the cold with his face covered with a white towel/scarf. They are all so beautiful. So proud. In the written letter I received the day after Thanksgiving said that Ship 11 and div. 055 and 056 are combined so our soon to be sailors are together. :)

I can't imagine either. He was able to call Saturday morning. What a surprise, but at first I panicked. I wasn't expecting to hear from him so soon. He sounded great. Only cried when I told him we are all rooting for him here back home. He asked about the dog of course. He's hoping to be able to call Thanksgiving. Needless to say, I'm staying home, with phone glued to my hand! And he told me that his Div is 056, not 065. He'll have a stack of mail for him!

Hi Tom'sMom,
I received the box and the letter too. I also received my first hand written the day after Thanksgiving. He wrote that his div 055 is combined with div 056. It looks like many the sons and daughters of the mothers who are writing here will be graduating on the 9th. Ian's second phone call went to his girl friend. We spoke after and it was wonderful to hear her excitement. She said he was doing really well and happy. She shared so much from their conversation. I am burning my blue candle almost daily. I have a running letter for him. I send one every 5 days or so. I went to the facebook page that is listed on the government letter and looked at all the photos from Thanksgiving trying my best to find my boy. I think I found him marching with his face covered by a white scarf or towel. I printed the photo and will send it tomorrow. It sure looks like him, but he is all bundled up. They all are. :) Hope you are well. They all look so good!

My Sailor is in Div 55 as well. No pics in the photos- which was a little disappointing, and only one phone call so far. it was comforting to see that the guys were smiling and laughing in the pics. It did make me feel a little better.

Hi. The pictures were confusing. His wife and I really thought we saw my son but other moms were saying, that's such and such division. Several differing opinions on which division they were seeing. No one could agree on what division and someone even thought they saw their wife when they were all guys. I guess eventually I can show my son the pictures and find out if he was in any of them!
