LindaGirl..... how sweet of you to remember. Thank you so much for your prayers. I really appreciate you taking the time to remember my loss. We celebrated my son's life with a lot of friends that day. (NMHugs)

Awe... you can't turn the "Mom" off that's for sure. I remember when they took my son's wisdom teeth when he was in Italy.  I was SO mad that they did the surgery and then just dropped him off in his room to fend for himself.  When my other son had it done while still at home, he was out of it for two days and needed that broth made for him.  Haha, but yes I totally get where you're coming from tysmom.

Pam: I would love to send that mini poster to my sailor, sniff, sniff!

He got a cold when he got back and feels miserable....then you want to be there too. Get some Sprite, a can of chicken noodle soup, some vicks...what about honey, lemon and whiskey????

TysMom: wonderful story!  and yes...the "goodbye countdown" is always tough....it nags & haunts me as the hours count down the last day or so. But really, I believe they're happy to get back to HIS own routine and job, favorite chair, own bed and pillow, etc, and of course Navy buddies too.  I know I'm always eager to be home after vacations too, even the vacation was spectacular!  Oh well...glad you got some super HUGS from your boy!

awe tysmom - what a wonderful surprise!  I know we just seen our Sailor in July, but I can't wait for him to come home for christmas.  It will be the first time in two years!  Way too long.

Yes, yes, yes I know what you mean.....I know the day he will leave and I know it is coming and I dread that day....we want to see them so much and we know they have to leave....you all have been there. When he said he was leaving in about 15 minutes I wanted it to be over because my insides were churning. So I took the dreaded last pictures of dad and the boys. I did restrain myself with pictures. None of him sleeping lol.
