DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

It's usually pretty fast. Check your junk mail folder because sometimes emails go there.

I was at work all day.. i had a fedex slip on my doo,r is thier stuff coming home being shipped fedex???

Yes, "the box" is delivered by FedEx for most. See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC.

What Div is your son in?  Mine is in 914

Check your My Page.

My daughter arrived there on tbe 10th. I finally git her box monday as they tried to deliver it saturday.. i have not got a letter yet. : /.. so happy you have, its a wonderful feeling. My son went in tbe Air Force 3 years ago i remember that feeling when the call came in or ya pulled the letter from the mailbox. I miss my daughter something awful

I STILL go to my "kid in a box" to sniff my sons' jacket since it has his scent.  I miss that kid like crazy and sometimes literally break down when having my coffee because we would always have coffee together each day and I teased him and called him my "Coffee Mate"...now when I grab the creamer, I start ballin :/  I feel your pain sister!!!

Its awful huh!!! Ive gotten better. It all hit when id come home an see hwe empty room. Since ive spoke to her it makes a huge difference! She sounds awesome. Her letters are cheerful... unless shes messing with me because she saw how i was when her brother went in! She is in 913

My son will be leaving from PA on December 10th for BC.

My son leaves December 9th from Phoenix AZ

My son leaves from Cleveland on Dec 9th.  So proud of him but am also going to miss him!  He is the oldest and first to leave home.  Great grandfather was a Pearl Harbor Survivor and Grandfather is a Vietnam Veteran.  This is my first experience so hope to stay in touch.

I took my son to his recruiters on the 1st (we're from outside of Phila.). He shipped out from NJ on December 2nd. It's been bittersweet, as I'm proud of him, but didn't realize that it would hit me as hard as it has!! We got The Box on Friday (so soon!), can't wait for the letter, so I can begin my countdown to seeing him again! I feel so lost and feel that I took for granted that I could just call or text him whenever (even if he didn't reply..haha), but now, the fact that there is no lifeline, whatsoever, makes it so hard! I know this is what he's wanted to do, since childhood, but Lord... I can't even look at lemon pepper seasoning, without shedding a tear (lemon pepper chicken is his favorite)! I know I'll look back at this experience and maybe chuckle over crying at a spice, and maybe, one day I'll tell him, but I'd definitely admit, this is HARD!! So glad I found this site and to know, there are many Mothers going through the same emotions! Reading comments have gotten me through some of this. Thank you all!!
