Good Morning to Everyone.

Slash, my husband retired as a Seabee. He spent 25 years with them. He never saw combat at all. That was during Desert Storm.

CryptpDad. So far better. She is assigned to a Seabee batallion. I am not sure what her job will be. She did not get her final orders yet. I thonk someone was messing with her.

Hi everyone,

Blondie Love the pictures! Happy you had fun. And that you were able to lay the wreaths. I am sure it was very emotional. My Son was able to lay the wreath at the tou,b of the unknown soldier when he was there. It was on Memorial Day, he was in the 8 th grade. He was in the Civial Air Patrole, and was wearing his dress Blues, it was also emotional for him. Thank you for doing that for Christmas.

Andrea, they don't care how well I do the job, or how poorly she does it. She cut her hand reaching into a drawer at home, and grabbed a knife that her son had just sharpened. That what happens when your not paying attention to what you are doing.

Jean, how fun. It is true, you enjoy your grandchildren more, or so I have heard..LOL

spyder did you get any rain? We are having some, but not like last week. But it is cold. 60 today. It was 47 this morning. I know for some of you that is not cold..LOL but for us so cal people that is cold ;-)

Splash, happy you have more news on your girl, any news we get is better than none. Praying for her, and you to make it through.

3 more days of work then 2 weeks off, YAY
Have a good evening everyone.

splash,

Better or worse than what you feared a couple days ago?

Blondie, great pictures! No doubt very emotional the wreath laying but what a wonderful opportunity to give a little back and pay respects.

Jean, LOL I think it's because you can give her back to mom whenever you want and just have all the fun parts :-)

Good Morning to Everyone.

Andrea, she is still talking about it but it will be at least 2 years away. I was over there last night to babysit, so she could do her homework since this week is finals and apparently the teachers think it is fun to dump weekly work as well as the final on them. I told her that is what happens when you get in your last year of college. LOL. The baby is smiling all the time now and is even giggling. It is so much fun watching her grow up. Why was it that it wasn't this much fun with our own kids. LOL.

Anna, what incredibly kind words, we feel exactly the same about you and Steve. In all the chaos going on around here with Amanda moving to FL...it was so wonderful to enjoy a weekend with good friends, food, conversation and did I mention wine? LOL So happy we were the first stop in your new adventure and look forward to seeing pics of you with the many Navy sisters on here as you travel through!! Again, we had the best time and thank you for making the trip here!!  Enjoy your time with Jenn and praying things work out for her and her future in the Navy

Continued prayers for all those who have loved ones deployed, I know we have a few on here!

Catsmom, getting rain again? Hoping it's a welcomed site and not causing any issues! Wow she must have really sliced herself to get that many stitches...now they will see what could have been if they had given you the job like they should have and you deserved!!

JappyJ, glad you are getting more info hope it is enough to put your mind somewhat at ease...I think whenever they are away from us we are never totally at ease ;-)

Spyder, you got to spend some time with your girl, right?! What a wonderful early Christmas gift! Will you get to see her again soon? I know we take every minute we get and never for granted...that would be one thing if nothing else we have learned... every second counts and enjoy it!

Jean, how is our baby doing? She's getting soooo big, they seem to do that don't they?! Grow up way too fast LOL Hope all is well with Christina and she is not talking about the Marines anymore...fingers crossed :-)

Have a great Tuesday everyone!
