January we will be starting off the New Year adopting the approximately 300 sailors serving aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105). Awesome jobs Laura & Donna!  Mail Call will never be the same for the USS Dewey!

I started getting my boxes ready - I should have at least 2 boxes: one w/shampoo, body wash & deodorant and the other with puzzle books, Yahtzee and playing cards.

Thank you Denise.  Yes, I think there will be some happy sailors when these goodies arrive.

I'm new to the group . Is there anybody from the Austin , Tx area that has packing parties ?

Michelle, if you have a couple of friends who like to share coffee and brownies, we can teach you how to start your own packing party.  Pat L is out of town, but she can send you information later if you are ready.

One box of 20 pillowcases ready to mail on Monday.

Thank you Carol!

Donna, I ordered some Tide Pods through smile.amazon and had them directly shipped to our POC. There wasn't an option to add a note so I couldn't tell them Thank You. I will be shipping my other boxes the beginning of next week so I will give you a final count when I ship.

Thank you Kim.

I'm headed to the post office and I have 4 boxes to ship. One is a larger box with mac n cheese and jerky so it will go parcel so it might take a little longer to get. (I just can't justify paying $30 shipping for $12 of mac n cheese! haha) The others include granola bars, drink mix, microwave meals, candy and snacks. Pillowcases from a FB lady in TX and coloring pages and Valentines from my 4 year old neighbor and her mom!

I sent 2 boxes yesterday. One with snacks and the other with female supplies.

That's great!  Thank you :)

My box of 15 pillowcases will ship tomorrow.  I had some card decks and a generic jenga game I stuck in there to fill it up since I ran out of time to shop for snacks......  Now I have to shop, because my "stash" box only has 2 containers of wipes in it...everything else is gone.......
