Hi all - Happy Tuesday!

I saw on the FB page that they shut down the base due to the weather - only non-essential personnel were to report.  We are hoping that sailor doesn't have any issues flying out on Thursday.  He leaves SoCal & flies back to NY (Ballston Spa) to get his car & then drives to VA on Friday.  It looks like the weather will be warming up there by the end of the week.

He reports to VA next week.  He's been enjoying our SoCal weather (Navymom2 - we are in Riverside!) and has been trying to soak up as much sunshine as possible while home.

He and his buddy are looking at apartments at Midtown @ TownCenter in VA Beach.  Anyone know anything about those apartments?  Good/bad/otherwise?

Yes, enjoy the snow.  It's going to be 80 degrees where we live. Have not had a winter this year. :( I have not even used my NEW coat!  Maybe next year...

Yvonne I have told her about you offering for her to come over. She just got married july a year ago. So usually on weekends she loves to clean house, bake, cook big meals, & she goes to church on Sunday. Her husband works at a shipyard & is going to school so they don't have much free time. But thank you for the offer.

Enjoy your snow, I got a snow day today & love the freshness of it. So peaceful & serene

too tall Joan,

We love and miss the snow too! So, hurray for the snow! It's always so beautiful.

Do you think your daughter would be interested in coming over to our house on the weekends? We have several who come from the Truman and other ships and also schools commands at Dam Neck. We'd love for her to join us.

Hi all - Happy Wednesday!

My sailor heard from his ship sponsor so now he knows when/where/what uniform to report in next week.  We sure have been trying to make the most of his 30 days leave!  Can't believe he leaves next week.....argh....slow down the time please!
