I'm new to the site. So far it's a good thing that I join. It helps me know that I'm not the only one to feel the way I do about my daughter being in the Navy.she left on June 8th. She call me on Wednesday and I receive her clothes on Thursday. I miss her so much.
She is my oldest of 4 girls. My little one (6) said she is in training to be like her big sister, what she does for training, she runs around the house and does pushups.

I am getting used to being a sounding board for the stress, but I agree it is hard to be supportive when you really feel like jumping in a car, driving out to the middle of the Atlantic, scoop the sailor up and take her home! These are amazing individuals to me. My sister was in for 20 years,I really thought she had kind of a 'glam' job, working all over the place. I never knew about the stress women are under until my daughter got in, what an eye opener. As mother's of Women Sailors, we certainly have MUCH to be proud of and I probably say ' I am so proud of you,' a whole lot more than I say I love you!

As a new Mom this is what worries me the most, after all of the anticipation when the dust settles and the heartache of missing my daughter sets in. I have two years to while she is in college and am hoping by being here with all of you that I will have the support for both her and me when she does leave for OCS and her duties. I feel for you MyGirl
