Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Psalm 28:6-7

Echoing KathyMmom's prayers for these daughters in Jesus name, and for the moms too.....

BobbieSue and nolla1955 - first of all - praying for your daughters.  Our family has been through similar and my son is now medically retired.  As you can see, I haven't left the site, although not as frequent a visitor.  You are still a Navy Mom and we always welcome prayers from momma hearts because these prayers are so powerful!  If you just want to stop getting emails, look just below the area where you would type a comment and there is a little link that shows 'Stop Following'.  If you want to leave the group altogether, look in the top right of the page for 'Leave Group'.  That will work on any group you belong to.

Ladies, make sure your daughters understand what their disability ratings are (if they have them) and what they mean.  Benefits may depend on them.  Let the DAV help you or the Wounded Warriors program if your girls have any questions or need support with the paperwork.  If they went through the Medical Board process they should have a disability rating for both DOD and VA.  They generally make them low, so if your daughters need more help than their rating might provide, have them fight for it BEFORE they are discharged!  Afterwards, it's much harder to get anything changed.  Hugs love and prayers to both of you.

Amen and echoing outi's words and prayers.  Praying for full recovery very soon!  Have they at least given her a diagnosis?  Kudo's to Joey - his love for her is shining too!  Wonderful.
