My sailor telling me how great his weather is.

Here is your Spring Blondie

Comment by T-Lynn on April 28, 2015 at 7:32pm

Caught Riker on the phone trying to order pizza. Luckily the guy could not understand him.  And Riker's mom took that shot of the puppy and Riker - didn't realize how it would turn out. Puppy was next to her.

HI

Blondie - just what path are you walking? You were to take the right turn - NOT the left! And here you go again stumbling - falling - hurting - but as we all know you - you NEVER give up.

After reading your message - all I could see was you walking along a path - enjoying Spring and the next - ALL that stuff happened. I hear how tired you are and frustrated too, but what I don't here ( and never will ) - You saying I quit. I might not be actually beside you - but really I am :). Hugs gentle lady

Maggs - did you decide to follow Blondie ? Gee - you too have enough on your plate. I am glad though you are able to take time to be home and help out. Promise me something - actually this goes for you too Blondie - Promise - to have some Me Time. Honest - you both have earned two years worth. Hugs Maggs.

Joshmom - how exciting. I am a Cub/Cardinals fan. So you know the rule there. When the Cubs are winning - you cheer for them -and when the Cardinals are winning you cheer for them. It really gets hard though when both of those teams are playing each other. Now - did you go and see this game? What's your sailor up to?

So good to hear form you #6. You have not been on for a while and for me - TOO long of a while. So how long is your jury duty? And how is your grandbaby ?

Cheryl - yes isn't it funny how our sailors will give little "haha" comments about how great their weather is. Mine would send pictures of his feet - on the beach, by the pool, in sandals walking on the sidewalk. Then ask how my weather was doing. Once I sent a photo to him of our gutters totally iced up. He then replied - I don't miss that at all.

Hey, I need to get along - yes I will share pictures. But I ask for comforting thoughts be sent to my cousins. My cousin and his daughter - because of no improvement  - it appears they will  have to make the decision to remove his wife - her mom from life support. Will know this week. Thanks Wish all a great evening.

How exciting Joshmom.  I am a big fan of Cooney who may also get called up for the Cardinals.  He started school and baseball with my youngest.

Blondie, Your daughter is still in my prayers.  As is all of my navy moms and families.

I spent this last weekend with my sailor.  He lives 45 minutes north of NYC in the mountains.  It was snowing Friday night.  I'll post pictures later.  I'm off to court.  Call me juror #6 this week.

Also, they asked for my help booking a vacation to Japan this summer.  Let me know if anyone knows the best time for cheaper airfare.  I'm assuming late August or September.

Good morning ladies and happy Monday!

Check this out - a graduate of the Naval Academy made his MLB debut this weekend.  Of course for me it was double exciting since he plays for the Cardinals.  Go Cards! Go Navy!

Naval Academy graduate makes Cardinals debut, strikes out first batter he faces

When Mitch Harris took the mound for the Cardinals in the fifth inning of their matchup against the Brewers on Saturday, he was about to do something that hadn't been done since 1921: throw an MLB pitch as a graduate of the United States Naval Academy.

The 29-year-old replaced Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright, who left the game after sustaining an injury batting in the top of the fifth inning. He promptly made his presence known, striking out the first batter he faced.

Harris began the season in Triple-A and has been in the Cards' system since 2013. Before that, he was traversing the world's oceans with the Navy. He's the first Naval Academy graduate to make it to the Major Leagues since Nemo Gaines nearly a century ago. But he doesn't expect a leg up:

"I don't want to be put in position because of my story. If something's just going to be given to me, I don't want it. I want to be able to say I earned every step of the way," Harris told MLB.com's Spencer Fordin last season.

Harris reflected on his debut with MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch:

"It means a lot. That place was special to me. The Navy was special to me. To be able to represent them and bring light to them means the world to me."

Harris pitched 1 1/3 innings on Saturday, giving up two hits, two walks and recording one strikeout. Not too shabby for an MLB debut.

You bet - positive thoughts and Reiki still coming Blondie

Cruise - where? And you lost weight - you rock.

Maggs- really ? you have to now copy Blondie! Oh gentle hugs.

Cheryl like the upgrade :).

Here, Riker takes center stage. He is getting cuter and has now found his feet and is trying to clap his hands. Well, that is what his parents told me. I am happy to say - my oldest has found a job that (knock on wood) will be the one.  Iwill not be working this summer with scouts. I will babysitting. At this time no one can be found to watch him and with the kids not really having the funds for one - Grandma came to the rescue. Yes, i will miss my scouts - but I will be back with them in September.

No words from my sailor and his new place. So i wait. And we all know how to wait. think I will borrow Cheryl's upgrade.

Hugs all

Well ladies - Tough week I have upgraded my Mac N' Cheese secret pleasure to an entire pizza. Glass of wine w/straw is next step!

Blondie - kidney/ UTI are the worst. Blondie Jr. is in my thoughts. Take care.

joshmom... the cruise was fun, but you have to be informed or they nickel-dime you to pieces.  Also, not a great fit for us "counter-culture" types.  I hated only having a short day in each port, no time to explore.  Maybe a smaller ship?  It was a good experience, except for the flights.  If you go, get a balconey room!  nice to be able to step outside.

And for some reason, I weigh a pound less than when we left.  I am amazed, there was a lot of good food.
