It has been a long time since I have posted and I am sorry. I hope everyone has been able to connect with others in the PACT program. My son is now 3 and a half years in and it has been a great experience. He thought he wanted to be an AM. When he got on the ship, he was put with the AO’s. Now he is an AD3. It was best for him to start PACT because we didn’t know much about the Navy and he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. This has been a good route for him.

Good morning everyone!
Thanks Michael's mom & splash.
Mommamac. So far for me Boot Camp has been the hardest. When she was out of boot camp we talked everyday several times a day. PIR is fantastic. Are you going? Do you know where you will be staying? I made 3 trips to GL From Thanksgiving to early January. It is about a six hour drive from where I live.
splash.. I am sure I will need a fund for visiting my son once he is stationed somewhere, but as you know its so worth it!My son's PIR is 5/29/15, I can't wait to see him and drive him crazy with questions! Thanks for asking your daughter! I have had 2 calls from my son but our time is always up before I can ask him every thing I want to.
Mommamac. I went to San Diego in March for a week...it is beautiful! We are from Minnesota...my daughter never wants to leave SD. I am going there next March for a week again. I am also going in November for her birthday. I could move there I would. I am going to go broke going there but it will be worth it. When does your son graduate fom BC?
I asked my daughter and she thnks A school for EPACT is about one month and it is in GL.
splash...I have heard San Diego is beautiful! We are from the South. MY SR seems to think he will go to school in GL the weekend after boot camp, but who knows. Someone on here said he would not have A school because he is E-Pact? I really am totally confused about that.
They fill out a dream sheet toward the end of boot camp listig the places they would like to be. Her first choice was San Diego and she got it.
Mommamac...she graduated Dec 5th and was on hold for a couple weeks then she came home for Christmas for about 10 days. Then went back to GL for her A school and left for San Diego on Jan 15th. She is SPACT so her school is really short. She got her orders right before graduation.
