Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 928

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi, I am late in joining this group. My son is in DIV 928 also. We haven't heard anything in awhile either. We really miss his letters. Maybe this week we will get one. I wonder if they are very busy getting ready for graduation.

Welcome, Susana!  Be sure to post your questions on the main PIR page so that we N4Moms veterans can answer them.  There is lots of info in the PAGES section, to the right and above on this page, so read through that also.  Glad you found the group!

Welcome Susana! What does your son do in the 900 dvision? Our son sings bass. I feel for you missing the communication ... I am struggling with it too. It's so hard to conduct one way communication almost daily. I do. Think they are very busy and exhausted. Also, I know my son is making friends, and likely they are socializing more now on their down time, little as it might be. We have to churn out the letters still...they need them. Good luck on hearing something...hang in there!

Thanks, we are hanging in there.  Just checked the mailbox, but no letter today either.  We aren't sure what job he is doing in the 900 division because he hasn't told us.   He wants to surprise us on Graduation day. :) He doesn't sing or play an instrument.  He was in color guard in the Young Marines program, so we are guessing that maybe he is doing something like that.  Yes, we keep sending him letters, but we are looking forward to hearing from him! Will your son be singing in a group/solo  for graduation day?

Susana, yes, our son is singing...last night we accessed the recording of Friday's PIR and saw our son singing in the back row, second from the right in the group!!!! Made my night since it has been a long time...3weeks, since we've heard anything. You can watch at navylive.dodlive.mil
It is so cool that we could see him! Didn't want to watch too much because we want to really soak it all in when there live.
Are you going to the meet and greet?
I got lettersletters today!! The last one is dated may 2nd. It states they got a 4.61 on their drill inspection. They received their divisional flag, their weapons flag, and drill penant. They have firefighting, gas chamber, test 3 and final pfa. They also have their first performance they have last inspection, captain's cup, and battle stations coming up... so very very busy!

That's great that you got letters!  Wow, they are very busy.  Thanks so much for sharing with the group.  It's good to know what they are doing.

Navy1974, Yes, we did! he was easy to spot in the small group singing. i could identify his voice in the group! i don't want to watch too much though, so i can fully enjoy it when it's their turn. Someone somewhere on here said it's cold in the hall at PIR...funny, i am sitting here totally sweating in the heat and humidity. to make it worse, my internal thermometer is all over the map these days:-P

Did you see your recruit????

Moosemom/ Jenny, THANK YOU a million times over! I so appreciate the division news your daughter shared with you, and that you graciously and generously passed on . for those of us who are not hearing anything. Sounds like they are doing fine, but are extrardinarily busy. I do not think I will hear from Nathan H_ _t until we get the "I'm a sailor" call.
God bless you, and your sweet daughter for sharing!
Susana, I don't know too much about the singing part Nathan H_ _t is doing. All I know is that way back when he said he was lead bass. Not a solo part, i don't believe. But his letters weren't too detailed, and all the questions we had were not answered. I do know my son is also on ship staff, RCPO, I think it is. The recruiter said that would make him very busy. So happy that your son is doing something special at PIR...that will make it easier for you to spot him!
Are you going to Sarge's Meet and Greet? Can you give a clue to your son's last name...maybe some letters without giving the whole name?can't use last names here. Our son mentioned some of his friends..,but only by last name.
My son is Ben M----s. Maybe they know each other. Yes, we are going to the meet and greet. Are you going? We would love to meet you. Thanks for the Mother's day greeting, especially the Bible verse. :)
.

Susana, forgive me if i already replied...forgetful, and also this site is a maze. i am on a lot and then off for days at a time. Yes, we are going to the meet and greet, my husband and other son. I am sure our sons know each other, it is not such a huge group, their division is 53 guys and 30 girls, i think. With all the time they spend together, they must be getting pretty close...like family. They have to trust one another to make it as a team, help one another, just as we here help one another and support one another in a different way. Looking so forward to meeting you! We're almost there! Praise GOD!!!!
