For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

We have always been the "go to" house and if friends want to see them, they have to come to the house...;) My fav part is when my youngest squid has friends stay over, they camp out in the basement, but he always finds his way to his freshly made bed by...Mom...;))

Just to let you ladies know that when they are able to come home later they tend to stay around the house more. I found that out as time has gone on. I also tend to hover even more I am told.

Comment by Eaglefan on May 23, 2015 at 6:23pm: Hi Phoebs! My son has been with the boat for about 14 months. He has only great things to say about the command and crew. I know your son will receive tons of encouragement and support as he works to earn his Dolphins. Our son came for a two week visit in March, and it was difficult to share him with all those who wanted his time. But we just got back today from vacation which we purposely took near his base and were able to have his undivided time for four days!!! I was one happy momma! Wow! I am in awe of you guys, baby dukies mama! We just drove 18 hrs to see our sailor but with only 2 kids! I'm sure all your family had an amazing time and made memories to last a lifetime! Congrats to your sailor on his graduation!

However, he is still working on his quals, so I just want all the moms, dad, wives and girlfriends of the rest of the crew know how great it makes this momma feel to know her son is with this boat and group of men! He speaks so highly of his boat. I so enjoy hearing the excitement in his voice, doesn't make the missing him any less.

baby dukie's mama-this spring my son came home for leave, he spent the whole week running around with friends. We had made plans to go back with him to GA for the second week of his leave, so thankful we did at least we got to actually spend time with him. Seems they always have so many people to see when they come home that the don't spend time with their family. Anyway just wanted you to know I feel for you.

Both my son's are currently deployed one Navy and the other Marines. God's blessings to all of you and your son's and daughters for their service! Have a safe Memorial Day weekend! As our nation remembers the service and sacrifice of previous generations, we as a people recognize that the men and women serving in uniform today -- active-duty, guard, and reserve -- are as humble, patriotic, and selfless as any generation that has come before. They, alongside their families, continue that tradition of service to country that makes our military the finest fighting force the world has ever known. Nearly 200,000 of these soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines are currently serving beyond our shores, protecting us far from home, and will not be able to spend this holiday with their loved ones. Today, and every day, we honor them and their families with our heartfelt thanks and support.
