For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Your sailor has to enroll you in DEERS, which takes the marriage license, a copy of your ID and your SSN. That is usually done the same time he does the page 2. This is not something a dependent can do (usually). This is when he enrolls you in Tricare too, and signs the paperwork for your to get the ID card. Change your name later, Navy care about that. If they issue you an ID with your maiden name, you can easily get a new one later.

Hello, I married my sailor last week and need serious help figuring some things out. What are our next steps, besides putting me on his page 2? What do I give the Navy in order to put me in the system besides the marriage license? How to do I get my ID? Do I change my last name 1st or after I'm all in the system? If you have insurance you are keeping, then Tricare becomes a secondary insurance. If you have a doctor you like, ask if they take Tricare. You can go online and see if you are enrolled, you probably are even though you don't have the ID card yet.
Personally, I'd ditch the other insurance if you can still see your preferred doctor.

So I sent my husband my driver license, he's in BC still, and I haven't got any paperwork yet to get my ID. I'm not really worried about it yet. I'm 6 months pregnant and I have insurance but eventually when I get tricare will it cover some more? I'm not too far along for it to not affect anything, right?

Oh I hope that stamp is good enough. I know that have to put in to do certain things. So it'll take a little while. Congrats! Luckily I'm still covered by my dads insurance so I don't need it immediately.
