Oh no Anna! Prayers prayers prayers! That pain is absolutely immobilizing! i'm so sorry to hear this. Any way to build or rent a ramp? My mother had severe RA but loved camping and traveling - that's what she used. It helped her alot. Ice and rest and crucial to your recovery.

Prayers!

Blondie,

VA doctors don't want to do MRI until I give rest, ice, and drugs a chance.  I could be looking at 6 months before they'll schedule MRI.

JayDee,

Thank you for the support and prayers.  Yes this sitting still is bugging me.  And it is so hard for me to get up and down the trailer steps that I can't go outside like I'm used to.

Anna, I'm sorry to hear about your knee.  You are in my prayers.  I'm with you on the crutches, they completely ruin any mobility that you have and I'm such a klutz that they usually make it all worse.  Hang in there and follow doctors orders to speed the healing time.  I know it's hard to sit still (especially when it's nice out) but stick with the program.  Let us know how it goes.

Oleander,

I feel for your daughter!!!  I had Galley Duty on the base back in the day!!  I hated it.  Had to be there like 4 in the morning but I got off around 2 or so as I remember!!  I hope it goes well for her!!!!

Good Afternoon Jean!!

Gotta ask for prayers from my Navy sisters - - for me.  I hurt my left knee back in September and thought that it was getting better.  Still a little pain but I could walk on it.  Monday hubby and I walked up to the park office and after I stepped up on the bottom of the trailer steps and my knee popped on both sides.  I was in so much pain I felt like it was totally broken.  I haven't been able to put any weight on it since then.  Hubby helped me hobble to the truck and we went to the VA ER.  Dr xrayed said nothing was broken but I could have torn something.  They want to see if it will heal with anti inflammatory drugs, wrapping, icing and staying off it.  For the record, I absolutely hate crutches, don't like how difficult it is to get around, and have to rely on hubby for so much.  But it's the non-stop pain that is getting to me!!!!  I can't even get a shoe on because it hurts too dang much if I try to push my foot into a shoe or if hubby tries to push the shoe on!!!!  I need this to heal - - - ASAP!!!!!  Thank you in advance for all your prayers for healing!!!!!!!!

Morning everybody - hope everyone has a great day!

Sailor started Galley Duty this week and has been assigned to the Officer's Galley. The early day/late day schedule is both a blessing and a curse. She started at 7 am yesterday, got a text from her as she was leaving the ship at 7 pm and this morning begins at 4. The good news is she'll get of at 1:30 or so.

Morning everyone!

Blondie - your upcoming weekend sound like torture! Thank goodness it's only once/yr!

We finally got rain and cooler temps! It feels like heaven right now but I feel guilty enjoying it knowing what the Carolinas are going thru! God bless them all and keep them safe.

Neighborhood Halloween contest is in full swing. We have the craziest neighborhood! I've already had a pre-meeting with friends, we start building a pirate ship next weekend. Its going to be a banner year!
