Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

No he did not...will do BS21 on Sunday...but I will fly out on that day...I am not sure when I will get to see him, but wherever he goes I will be there within a month to hug the daylights out of him.

Good morning everyone...Yesterday was my son's PIR...my daughter and I arrived to Great Lakes on wednesday night. We were one 1 mile from the RTC. We flew in on blind faith hoping he would pass...and because I was hoping to see him. Well the PIR came and went, and then seeing all those sailors and their familes arrive broke my heart. I knew my son would pass, I knew beacause there were so many praying for him. It amazes me how united and how strong this Navy family is....people I have never met (just through all these websites) and yet understood my pain and concern stood with me in prayer.
Anyway on wed before I left my house to begin my journey to GL I asked God for a message and then randomly opened the bible and the first scripture I read was 1 Maccabees 4:55- THEN ALL THE PEOPLE FELL UPON THEIR FACES WORSHIPPING AND PRASING THE GOD OF HEAVEN, WHO HAD GIVEN THEM GOOD SUCCESS.
Well I want everyone here to know that God heard all our prayers and on his own time allowed my son to PASS!!!!!
He called me at 8:19pm and once he said I passed...I laughed, yelled and cried at the same time. For the life of me I can not remember anything else he said...just the sound of his smile in his voice.
Thank you everyone for your prayers. I am truly blessed to be part of such a loving and caring Navy family. Truly a humbling experince. Again thank you and may God continue to bless each one. All my love to you all.

Kamme...yes it just about killed me when I got the call...still waiting but will accept whatever God's will is for my son. Even if it is hard to accept.

Good Morning BlueDiamond. My son also had trouble passing the float test. The I did not pass call is the worse. I cried so hard. Just remembering it and knowing what you are going through makes me cry again. I pretty much cried the entire month of March until I got the I passed call.

That is the conclusion that I came to If didn't graduate with her PIR to just allow her to pass of it was Gods will. They are gonna do everything they can to help him pass trust me If he don't pass he will go in fit and it starts from there. He has 10 tries in fit. That address that I gave you was for Fit I am sorry You could have used the Division that was initially giving. Hopefully he will pass today but if he don't they will allow him to call

No he did not call...at this point I just want to see my son...I dont even care about the PIR anymore. But I guess it the waiting game again.
