Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 045 and 046

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello everyone! I've got a son in div 046. Missing him like crazy and awaiting a phone call like I'm sure most of you are. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hi Nicole, there's a few in our divisions on FB, as well.  I haven't seen many of us, though.

I saw a few on fb, too.  But yeah, not many.  Did you get a call yet?  Are you going to be able to go on Thanksgiving?

I won't be going for Thanksgiving, but we are hoping to go to PIR, depending on weather, as we will be driving.  I got a call about an hour and a half ago.

Hi everyone! I have a son in Div 046 too. He JUST called me! I hope other moms hear from their recruits. He was kind of concerned because they are jamming this training into fewer weeks and therefore there is more stress. He said he is pretty stressed himself. He said the physical was easy for him, he passed the swimming but seemed to think he wouldn't pass the tests over content. He said he has a test over 6 chapters this week. Ladies, he isn't very scholarly so he has reason to be nervous (of course I didn't tell him that!) He said if he doesn't pass he will have to wait the 2 week break then start over. wow. Has anyone experienced that situation before? He said the trainers are pretty cool. I am praying for him.

Yes, they're a push division, so it's a bit shorter than the normal BC.  My daughter is the opposite, she's going to struggle with the PFT, but she's pretty good with academic stuff.  My daughter told me if she can't pass the PFT she'll get held back.  I just told her, look, Christmas is nothing but a day on the calendar, not to freak out if she's still there.  They'll miss lots of Christmas days during their enlistments, you just celebrate when you're together again.  My daughter does have the benefit of being an Army brat, so she remembers years we had Christmas in January or September, to be able to celebrate with Daddy.  My daughter also said she likes their RDCs.

Well, I'm glad to see we're all in the same boat so to speak.  My son failed the first swim thing, but the academics won't be a problem.  Looks like they are all struggling with something though.  I hope what they say is true, and everyone helps each other out.

Talked to our daughter Saturday!  She sounded great!  Paaed swil qual and was 1 of 9 out of 99 felamles that passed PT!  :)

That is soo awesome!!  You must be soo proud!

Your SR's all have plenty of time to pass all of their tests. They can test and retest if necessary, and if there is something they are having a hard time with they will get the help they need to accomplish that goal!

Deep breath ladies (and gentleman) all is well. :)

Thanks for the assurance, ellen0502.  We are almost halfway there.  It's exciting hearing about the things they are getting to experience.  Even with the challenges, they will be better for it, I'm sure.

My son is in DIV 046 too. I miss his laughter and smile.
