Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 027 and 028

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Super Cute Bunny Waving

HI--my son is in DIV 027. I know of two Moms in 028--I will let them know this has been set up.

I'm still waiting on his letters (have the form letter) and a call. I miss him so much. Well, week 2 of Boot Camp is almost over...6 to go. It's the weekend and that is harder for me. I guess it's due to more time at home to miss him. Come on Dec 4!!

Thanks for letting me know about this group!

Thank you so much for sharing this with me!

My husband found a site through reading about the ship my son is on at RTC that has the challenge coins and other things--we are going to get him (and me) a challenge coin for graduation (shhh  don't say anything  :) ) and see what else I want from the site--here is the link for anyone that wants to see what they have:

HOOYAH!!!!   Ship 14  Div 027 --   Just got my call!!!!  about 5 minutes and then a few minutes later he called back for another 5!!!!!!!    He just made my day!!! I was feeling so down and depressed. I cried when the calls were done and lost it again.  He said that he has been writing us lots of letters and will keep doing so.  He is doing great!!!!  He said that they have had to drop a few times due to others in the division not listening very well...but overall, he said they are all doing well. He said he will call again in a week and half or two weeks. He sounded about 5 years older and the young man I knew was inside of him. SO VERY PROUD OF HIM!!!!

Hope everyone else gets their calls and letters!!!

Hi, my SR is in DIV 028. I got my first letter yesterday. Today was the best; I finally got to hear his voice. One happy momma!

My son is in that div also!!

On Saturday, my hubby and I went to Annapolis to walk around (it's a short drive away from us), have lunch and see if I could find some Navy Mom type things (magnet for car, shirt, etc.). It was so nice to walk around there. It was Homecoming weekend and we saw several groups of the Academy midshipmen walking around in dress blues. I was thinking of my son and how will look at graduation in his dress blues.

I didn't find much there.  Most of it was Academy geared. I did find some pins for the Navy; one for Great Lakes and one that said my son is a sailor with a really nice Navy emblem in the middle. Nothing cheap looking--all tasteful. I got a glass with a Navy emblem on it as well. I guess I'll have to do my shopping at RTC for what I really want.

Looking forward to getting his letters. Nothing on Saturday. Can't wait for the next call.

We are making the trip for Thanksgiving and staying until Graduation. My SR asked if a friend could come. So we might have someone's SR from Div 028. Still waiting on the letter though so I am not sure who it is exactly.

Be sure to have all the proper paperwork for adopt a sailor.

Hi Hunter's mom! I'm RTC's mom. I WISH so much that I could do what you are doing --- going and just staying. What a great idea! Just started a new job though and dare not ask for Thanksgiving week off as I started a week later than they wanted because I had planned this whole family send off for Ryan this past week. (Oct 18 - 24) But they took him earlier than expected so that went down the drain. I had to go to Florida anyway so as not to lose $$. Anyway, long story short (LOL!), Ryan is in 028 and I REALLY hope someone will take him. He's a good boy and I cry when I think he may be alone on Thanksgiving.

BTW, are you on the FB group pages? Please friend me: Kathryn Ludemann Cassidy

Thanks so much!
