2) Join AECF - FCs and ETs; your SR will discover her rating while in BC, usually near the end of BC. "A" School is in GL, so you will also want to join Great Lakes A School Q&A and GL A-school moms. Join AO Moms, Families and there will also be info in the previously mentioned Pensacola groups. The Rating Information Card for AO can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/ao.pdf. Your then Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. 1) What is your Sailor's rating (job/specialty) and/or where is she stationed? There may be groups I can direct you to.

2) See info below. What is your SR's rating going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend.

3) Check out Things to Do in the Last Month before Your Future Sailor Leaves for the RTC. At the bottom are links for each of the months, join the one for the month that your future Sailor ships. I can also give you info on her contracted rating.

I see you have joined your PIR group; I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there.  The Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, will be of interest to you since you have a recruit in a performing division. I believe that Division 910 is Sticks/Flags. You may want to check out Mom’s of Navy Daughters, Mom's of Daughters 2, and Women in the Navy. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
