OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

BM is dirty hard work ;  PR is nice for religious types.  CS is long early hours.  I don;t know much about the aviation ratings.

My grandfather was a BM in WWI.  Yes, the first war.  It is a proud rate which gets looked down on because it is so physical, but it is the very heart of what the Navy does.

My son came home from MEPS last year with AO. I was freaking about it...loading bombs! Not my baby! Well he's doing awesome! I consume all I could learn about his training! It eased my mind for sure! Whatever your decision, stay focused, patient, and positive! I hope you keep us posted! Take care!
